London based songstress Sharna Bass drops her new single, BUSS A 9
Sharna Bass continues to prove herself as one of RnB’s most captivating stars. Produced by Rachet (Emeli Sande, Devlin, Krept & Konan), Buss A 9 is song suggesting how far a person would go for love and expressing devastating heartbreak,
“You would even Buss A 9 for them, which is slang for, Shoot a firearm”, Sharna explains.
Dark and brooding, Sharna executes delicate vocal restraint which allows, instead, her heartache to read through her biting lyricism.
At twenty years old, Sharna’s ascension has been quite the journey and began as a far cry away from what her music has turned out to be. Clean Bandit heard 13-year-old Sharna singing in the Tabot Mix Centre. Two years later, and looking for someone to take on the vocal line of their hit ‘Extraordinary’, they remembered her and messaged her on Facebook to see if she was still singing.
“I was like…er… Yeah!”, Sharna says.
Despite the experience, being overwhelming, recording what would become a number 5 in the Official Charts, in South Kilburn Studios, set Sharna up with a thirst for more.
