Chicago based artist Tehondi (Teh-hon-dee) has just released his new song PAY THE PRICE, the song touches on the struggle we endure trying to obtain success
This April, rising independent Chicago Hip Hop artist Tehondi will release his highly anticipated sophomore studio album entitled ‘Hiatus Days Over’. Leading up to the album’s eventual release, the artist has debuted a brand new single, ‘Pay the Price’ a track that has dropped with an accompanying animated cover art.
Terrence Dillon, otherwise known by the moniker Tehondi, grew up in a rough neighborhood in Chicago. His youth was plagued with conflict, constantly battling bullies and escaping gang violence. Tehondi discovered solace in poetry, performing at competitions the likes of the city’s ‘Louder Than A Bomb.’ His writing became his outlet, his tool, and his weapon to create discourse about his community and incite change.
Before long, Tehondi had furthered his poetry in the realm of Hip Hop, a platform he utilizes to enforce his artistic ideas and connect with audiences. Music, perhaps above all else, can often be a catalyst for positive change, opening dialogues and shedding light on the darker parts of society. Tehondi’s music strives to embody a social movement to remind those who feel discarded and unwanted that they are not alone.
In 2014, Tehondi arrived on the independent Hip Hop music scene with ‘Become The Savior,’ a dynamic collection of tracks designed to enforce positive messages and abstract musings through Tehondi’s eclectic musical style. The songwriter’s catalog is rapidly growing with hard-hitting beats, infectiously catchy hooks, and poignant, motivational lyricism quite unlike anything else in Chicago’s music community right now.

Tehondi rhymed on ‘Tryna Do Right,’ a track from ‘Become The Savior.’ Those words, which are certainly ones to live by, are concreted in Tehondi’s upcoming music. His second album represents the mindset of being

according to the performer, and focuses largely on further exploring his path to accomplishing his dreams and the obstacles he faces.
‘Hiatus Days Over’ is due out this spring, set to be released independently and available on all major digital music platforms. Fans can gain early insight into the effort, however, by spinning ‘Pay the Price;’ available now.
