Nottingham, UK based recording artist Liam Bailey & Maverick Sabre team up for their latest track/video BROTHER, WHY YOU GOTTA LOVE HER

Following its audio release last week, which is being supported by Clash Magazine, BBC 1Xtra and Earmilk, among others, as well as his sold-out headline show at OMEARA only a few days ago, Nottingham soul musician Liam Bailey is excited to unveil the music video for ‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ featuring Maverick Sabre, as premiered via Complex UK.

Directed by James Beale, who helmed the visuals for Temples’ ‘Strange Or Be Forgotten’ and Lion’s ‘Self Control’ video, and has also worked with Adidas, Meadowlark and River Island, among others, the visuals for ‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ perfectly capture the genuine friendship between Liam and Maverick, as they brood over walking away from a toxic relationship.

Speaking about how the visuals for ‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ came about, Liam Bailey says,

“The video was inspired by my friendship with Maverick. We’ve seen a lot of pubs, brandy glasses and shared a few stories over the bar. I think Mav was into the idea of doing the video in an Old Miners Welfare but we settled for Catford Constitutional Club instead”.

‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ is the first taste of Liam Bailey’s forthcoming fourth studio EP, set to be released on November 9th, and is the soul star’s first project since his critically acclaimed 2014 album Definitely Now. Produced by Rich Cooper (Banks, Lucy Rose, Billie Marten, Tom Odell), it comes perfectly on the heels of Liam touring with Paloma Faith on her UK nationwide tour this summer.

With a glorious voice that is often compared to the legends Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, Liam Bailey comes with an undeniable soul, reggae and blues pedigree, that have seen him garner support from the likes of Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1), Zane Lowe (Apple Music/Beats 1), Jools Holland (BBC Two), Guardian Music, NYLON, and Wonderland Magazine, and has birthed collaborations with Chase & Status, Gorillaz, Salaam Remi and Shy FX, to mention a few.
