UK Runnings Presents West Midlands based emcee Trademark Blud’s latest album TRICKS OF THE TRADE VOL. 3, mixed & hosted by UK legend Tricksta
Trademark Blud the energetic and complex rapper from the West Midlands has released the final volume of his series ‘Tricks of the Trade’. With Tricksta once again mixing and hosting ‘Tricks of the Trade – volume 3’ is certainly a release that any self-respecting Hip Hop fan should be aware of.
With a diverse range of concepts, sounds and contributors Trademark has really stretched the limits with his creativity and overall approach to this final project in the trilogy. From the minimalistic and atmospheric sound of the track, ‘Square One’ to the super aggressive up-tempo sound of Bio Trademark seems to move from genre to genre with ease whilst still keeping a meaningful and informative direction at all times. You can hear influences from styles such as Boombap, Trap, Drill, Grime, R&B, Experimental and Jazz. Featuring a whopping 18 Producers and 13 rappers Trademark still finds space to dominate the release with the majority of the songs being solo.
Having already sparked the interest of BBC radio and hitting the Bandcamp tag charts 2019 looks like a promising year for the award-winning rapper. This is a great follow up from his last release with Micall Parknsun ’The Invisible Man’ in which he spoke about the location bias in UK Hip Hop, this new release is an all-around show of verbal dominance, creativity, power and diversity solidifying Trademarks place as one of the most well-rounded and lyrically gifted emcees in the UK today.
