Tell us more about your latest release

I met SQB and the Fat Flava team in 2016 while on tour in Chile in 2016. There was an instant click with the guys so that’s when we did like 2 tracks and a video in 2 days. One of those tracks was the Ohh shit posse track and the other one was a track that ended up on the EllMatic album. Anyhow we kept the connection going and thanks to this conference software called zoom which allows you to share your screen and audio we were able to create a lot of music in that way Sending beats and vocals layers back and forth On top of that SQB visited us like 2 times in the last 2 years to do music and shoot videos.

Funny enough the new album is created while SQB was in Chile the whole time. We shot the first video during my vacation to Chile but we didn’t even get the time to do music then And when SQB was here those 2 times me him and Ellmatic got the chance to do entirely new music for a new project so we got my album done and we basically made a new one right after for a release next year.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?

Of course the whole Het VerZet team Fat Flava
Christmaz Figub Brazlevic Realidad mental
Prince Po Da Shogunz Producers

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Of course, there are a few on my list, like Damian Marley and a few others but I guess my answer would be ..any artist that I have a creative click with

What inspires you when you make your music?

Dope beats dope emcees experiences in life Something someone says ..it could be anything ..but most importantly to me is the vibe in the studio ..or even when I’m doing some household shit. I’m just freestyling shit and sometimes get ideas to write down ..sometimes you can kinda feel it in the air when you gonna make something dope Other times it comes out of nowhere ..so creativity to me is not something you can really grasp Sometimes it comes other times it doesn’t I just go with the flow mostly.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

By chance really…of course hard work good timing and all that and a few well-received release but
we never thought we could do it to the extent that we are now ..and it’s still growing.

What do you think of the music industry in 2019?

There’s good things and bad things But mostly I think as far as the mainstream hip hop market is concerned the diversity in styles could be way better.

What have you got planned for 2019?

After this one we already got a new LP to release for the next year A lot of dope verses from everybody in our circle that we think is dope and who got the chance to visit my studio and lay something down.

What’s your favorite track at the moment?

Of our own shit – ‘Here comes Tu Papi’.

What do you do when your not making music?

There is fazes when I make a lot of music, when I’m not doing that I’m usually networking with people doing promotions things for a project merchandising etc when I’m not doing that I like to watch movies with my girl, exercise, eat good food enjoy life, All that…

In a few words sum up your thoughts about Urban Vault and what we’re trying to do?

Good to see that people are still doing this and that it’s not all Facebook and Instagram.

Thanks for the interview!

Thank you for your time and may you carry on making dope, fresh music….
