Lee Scratch Perry, Brian Eno & Adrian Sherwood present their new track HERE COME THE WARM DREADS, taken off Lee’s forthcoming album HEAVY RAIN, via On-U Sound

A meeting of legendary musical innovators as dub pioneer Lee Scratch Perry collaborates with polymath Brian Eno on new single ‘Here Come The Warm Dreads’. A radical dub re-work overseen by Adrian Sherwood, re-configuring the track ‘Makumba Rock’ from this year’s ‘Rainford’ album for the forthcoming dub companion LP ‘Heavy Rain’, out on the 06th December.

Of ‘Here Come The Warm Dreads’ Adrian Sherwood says, “When we approached Brian about working on a track he didn’t hesitate and said he would happily do something with Lee Scratch Perry. We worked together on a quick dub version of the track and took what was a crazy tune even further out there. I have always wanted to do something with Brian and hopefully, there will be more opportunity in the future”.

‘Rainford’ has received rave reviews from Rolling Stone, NPR, Pitchfork, MOJO, Uncut and more. The addition of remarkable guest musicians such as Eno and Vin Gordon (Famous for his contributions to many classic Bob Marley records) makes ‘Heavy Rain’ a highly anticipated additional chapter to the ‘Rainford’ story.

It’s important to note that it’s not all ‘Rainford’ re-works though: ‘Dreams Come True’ and ‘Above And Beyond’ are Scratch and Sherwood originals, heard here for the first time, which are equally strong material for this purple patch in the career of an unstoppable Jamaican maverick and true musical pioneer. If ‘Rainford’ is 2019’s ‘Roast Fish, Collie Weed & Corn Bread’, then ‘Heavy Rain’ is its ‘Super Ape’.
