Urban Vault caught up with Flash, one half of Boston-based Hip Hop duo N.B.S. to ask him some questions about his recent album release FLASHLIGHT, with producer Lightfoot & more…
E’Flash aka Flash is one half of Boston-based Hip Hop duo N.B.S., who recently collaborated with producer Lightfoot on their new album ‘Flashlight’, accompanied by the visual for the track ’15’ featuring Ju Jilla.

Where are you from?
I’m from Boston/Cambridge, Ma
How long have you been making music?
Since I was born… I came out of the womb making music…
How did you team up with producer Lightfoot for your album ‘Flashlight’?
Lightfoot and I work together in the city of Cambridge. We are part of a program that teaches teens about the essence of Hip Hop while encouraging them to make music. Lightfoot is an amazing producer and friend so it made sense!
Tell us more about this album. What can listeners expect?
Raw rap over melodic beats! If you like bars over dope beats this is the album for you…
You are also part of the rap duo Natural Born Spitters. Can we expect any upcoming project from you and Knuckles?
Absolutely, we have Lost in Budapest coming soon March 27th! We are working on our ‘Trapped In America 2’ with the Snowgoons. Knuckles is dropping his solo album this April so we have a lot coming!
What inspires you when you make your music?
Honestly, I just have a love for this shit man. This shit is in my blood! That’s why I want people to really listen to this album and vibe cause I put my heart in this.
What do you think of the music industry in 2020?
I like it. If you listen to the album in the song Ocean Front you will hear me say “I love it but never can I make none of that week trap” I like it to listen to but I can’t make it! I’m to 90’s.
What’s your favorite track at the moment?
On my album, it’s every single track! From other acts hmmm I like a lot! Too many to mention but I like listening to Hip Hop whether old or new.
What do you do when your not making music?
I am booking shows for other acts! Major ones too or I’m teaching in the school system.
In a few words sum up your thoughts about Urban Vault and what we’re trying to do?
Love it you guys been rocking with N.B.S. and the Vets for a while and we appreciate the love. Y’all definitely keep Hip Hop alive on this platform and I respect that!
