Barnsley based DJ/producer Corrupt (UK) brings his signature low-end grooves to Dim Mak via a seductive 4×4/bassline-infused New Noise debut TICK TOCK, featuring vocals from frequent collaborator Natz
Fresh off the Raas collaboration ‘Strange Things’, which reached #1 on Beatport’s Garage/Bassline/Grime Chart, Corrupt (UK) reinforces his deep-rooted sound with a new banger on Dim Mak. Hailing from the town of Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Corrupt (UK) has developed a unique brand that integrates Northern England’s classic bassline energy with the furious bass house beats coming out of North America.
His tracks have been released on a variety of bass-centric collections, including ‘This is Night Bass Vol 6’, ‘UKF10’, and the ‘Pure Bassline’ compilations mixed by DJ Q and Jamie Duggan. His ability to channel cross-continental influences has led him to stages around the world, performing in Russia, North America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand among others. Corrupt (UK)’s latest expedition saw him support both Wax Motif and Dr. Fresch on North American tour dates in January and February.
With more beats promised throughout the year and a relentless spirit, the up-and-comer is poised for a breakout 2020.
New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting-edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is a copyright-free model that allows the budding community of Twitch gamer’s and amateur YouTube content creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams sans purchase or fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
