Accra, Ghana-based songwriter & musician Twitch 4EVA recently dropped his new four-track LOST EP, accompanied by the visual to his track BABY

With over 8 million streams already under his belt and 130,000 loyal followers on social media, as well as strong editorial playlist support across Spotify and Apple Music, Ghanaian artist, songwriter and musician Twitch 4EVA feels like the best-kept secret in the rapidly-growing international Afrobeats music landscape, but the Accra-based rising star is excited for the opportunity to change that, as he steps firmly into the forefront with his highly anticipated debut EP titled ‘LOST‘ and the exquisite new visual for the EP’s accompanying lead single ‘BABY’.

Mixing elements of Afrobeats, R&B, and pop music together to create a unique and expansive sound, which he describes as ‘Coastal Music’, Twitch 4EVA comes into his own on this 4-track ‘LOST’ EP released in conjunction with Accra-based youth culture platform and creative hub Ground Up Chale. Following recent collaborations with the likes of Kwesi Arthur and Amaarae, Twitch stands alone throughout this new project, showcasing his excellent vocal prowess, captivating singing style, and flow, and creative songwriting and storytelling skills.

The EP opens in exuberant fashion with the rich and infectious Afrobeats track ‘Distance’, over which Twitch 4EVA waxes lyrical about a former long-distance romance, and on ‘Baby’ with its lush R&B sensibilities, he continues to explore the realities of romantic relationships, this time focusing on its ‘feel-good’ aspects. Still keeping with the theme of romance, ‘Chaskele’ is an introspective and emotional highlife music-leaning offering about heartbreak and closure, with the EP breaking from its romance theme on the final track ‘DaaDa’, which sees Twitch preaching purpose, self-confidence, focus and happiness to his comrades.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his ‘LOST’ EP, Twitch 4EVA says,

“I called the project ‘LOST’ because relationships are a journey and you can get lost on the way. It's confusing because it dictates itself, and then sometimes we don’t understand how it works. We feel lost, basically. On the other hand, sonically, the project is filled with expansive music across Afrobeats, highlife, R&B, and Afropop that you can dance to,  whether with your beer, with your partner or with your friends, whether you’re at the beach or in the club or at home”.
