West London singer/songwriter Maxi Millz drops his new track DANNY OCEAN, and announces his debut eight-track project CAPTIONS, which drops on the 26th of March

Produced by multi-instrumentalist Fred Cox (Green Tea Peng, Etta Bond), ‘Danny Ocean’ is fused with elements of Funk, Hip Hop, and R&B. Inspired by Ocean’s Eleven, the visuals are set in the heart of Vegas where we witness Maxi’s character take part in a cash deal which leads to a series of late nights, early morning and recklessness.

“I was in lockdown, number 3 I think, it was cold and horrible. Every lockdown there is, I choose a series of films to watch. This time it was all the Oceans films. They’ve always been my favourite, mainly cus of Danny Ocean and Rusty’s character. The subplot of a hopeless romantic reminds me of me. But everything always works out fine, like in Oceans”.

Born in West London, Maxi grew up in a music-loving household, beginning his journey listening to his parent’s Motown, Blues, and Soul records. Maxi took inspiration from some of the greats including, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Earth Wind & Fire, and Aretha Franklin to name a few. Growing up he would spend a lot of time with his family in America and grew up experiencing life in London, New York, and Baltimore which is now reflected throughout his music.

Since launching his music career in 2020, his sound has quickly found its own lane garnering support from the likes of Yasmin Evans, Tiffany Calver, Maya Jama, and Pa Salieu to name a few. Receiving its first spin on DJ Target’s BBC 1xtra show this week ‘Danny Ocean’ sets the tone for his debut project ‘Captions‘ which drops independently on 26th March.
