Nigerian singer, songwriter & rapper Rema drops the post-apocalyptic visual for his latest track BOUNCE, produced by Don Jazzy
Rema’s latest single ‘Bounce‘ sent shockwaves through the UK and has quickly become the soundtrack to the summer. Reflecting the title of the song, the video for ‘Bounce’ celebrates the,
“Magnificent body of the African woman”,
in opulent abundance. To match Don Jazzy’s heavy-weight production, the tribal-influenced visuals are a combination of Burning Man festival meets Mad Max in a post-apocalyptic setting. Last month we saw Rema collaborate with JAE5 and Skepta on ‘Dimension‘,
“A meaningful track with a vibe”,
and a song that has resonated deeply with his UK supporters. Rema can do no wrong to many, both a privilege and a heavy crown to wear for a 20-year-old finding his way. Set for late summer, his debut album has become one of the most talked-about projects to come out of West Africa, and until he’s perfected every single lyric, beat and note, all will be kept strictly under wraps.
2020 had some silver linings for the young prodigy, Rema became one of Apple Music’s Up Next artists, part of the FIFA 2021 soundtrack as well as catching the attention of Drake and Rihanna along the way.
