Birmingham, UK based producer A dot R recently released his latest UK Garage track HOLDING ME BACK, featuring the vocals of London based recording artist Flavia

Ten years in the making, ‘Holding Me Back’ has been a long time coming, and well worth the wait! Choppy vocals sitting on top of an intriguing mix of instrumentals, ‘Holding Me Back’ pulls you in from the very start, bringing us a captivating UK Garage and Bassline sound from renowned producer A dot R.

With vocals from Flavia, and engineering from Apostle, ‘Holding Me Back‘ is a triumphant collaboration between emerging artists in this scene. Finalised and released against the backdrop of the UK lockdowns, ‘Holding Me Back’ presents a lot of the collective energy we have stored up over the past year.

Renowned for his catalogue of weighty club anthems, such as, ‘You Break Me Down’ featuring the talented Rae Rae and ‘Make Up Your Mind’, A dot R has become a prominent figure in the UK Garage/Bassline scene. With support from leading mainstream UK Radio stations including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, and KISS FM, A dot R’s career has thrived off his unique sound, infusing catchy melodies and vocals with a heavy bassline. Born in Italy to Ghanian parents, Flavia is a singer-songwriter, full-time content creator, and flight attendant. Flavia had quite an impact on the music scene before taking a break for the last few years. Singing Funky House, Afrobeats and House she has also worked on spoken word projects in English and Italian. You’ve probably heard a song with her voice not knowing it was Flavia! She’s now stepping back into the music scene with a project she started in 2015.
