North-West London singer, songwriter, and producer, Chloe Bodur releases an infectious disco-inspired single WATCH ME featuring fellow Londoner Bubba Janko

After awakening from a reoccurring dream of being back in the club, the foundations of the track were born as a voice note recorded in the middle of the night. Chloe later orchestrated the musical arrangement alongside producer and bandmate VVilhem from Ebi Soda. ‘Watch Me’ covers themes of romance, narcissism, and nostalgia while the stylishly choreographed visuals see Chloe pay homage to an era gone by with nods to Studio 54, Cher, and Soul Train.

Born to Sri-Lankan and Turkish parents, the 23-year-old grew up in a music-oriented household where she immersed herself in everything from D’Angelo, Flying Lotus, and The Neptunes to icons such as Chaka Khan and Austrid Gilberto. Chloe wears her heritage, power, and sensuality on her sleeve, proudly citing Hindu Goddesses ‘The 10 Mahavidyas’ as a spiritual muse and huge inspiration to her aesthetic. With the hope of pushing cultural boundaries and subverting negative stereotypes, this has been the driving force on her mission to inspire a new generation of artists from the Middle East and South Asian diaspora. The up-and-comer’s soundscape merges her love of R&B, Soul, UK Jazz, Samba and Hip Hop resulting in an ever-evolving sound others fail to match up to.

Early career highlights include her debut ‘Panties & Loafers’ EP which was awarded the number one spot on 1xtra’s Jamz Supernova’s Top five EP list resulting in Chloe then making Jamz’ Ones To Watch for 2021 list. Bodur was also named one of ten artists leading the UK Alt-R&B Renaissance by CLASH as well as supporting the likes of Puma Blue, Yazmin Lacey, and Rosie Lowe. With an announcement on her next live performance alongside her full five-piece band coming imminently, Chloe hopes that ‘Watch Me’ will encourage confidence, freedom, and happiness amongst party goers now club culture has returned.
