Urban Vault caught up with Queens, New York-based emcee Naups to ask him some questions about his music and more…

Brooklyn-born artist Naups, now residing in Queens, is starting to make noise in the Underground Hip Hop scene over the last few years. Since 2019, he has toured overseas in seven-plus Countries sharing the stage with artists such as EPMD, Conway The Machine, Snowgoons, Sean Strange & more.

The present-day shows him gearing up to release his debut project ‘Naupitos Way’ on all platforms & to tour around the world. The first single ‘Wonder Who’ is out now and features S.K.E. The Heistman & Aspven.

2022 will also unveil the premiere of a collaboration with the Snowgoons and New York legend Maino. Keep your eyes and ears open for this rising talent in Hip Hop.

I’m from Brooklyn, now I reside in Queens

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been writing music since I was 14 or 15

You already toured with EPMD, Conway The Machine, Snowgoons, and Sean Strange. Tell us about that?

Each experience is a breath of fresh air learning something new about the game and being able to apply it to myself.

How many songs/albums have you released to date?

Two albums, a new single out now titled ‘Wonder Who’.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?

DrewkaBoom, Nikki Buatti, S.K.E The Heistman & Aspvn.

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Redman and Method Man.

For 2022 you announced a project with the Snowgoons and New York legend, Maino. Can you share any further info?

It’s a fire track, I got my big bro S.K.E The Heistman on it and I promise it’s gonna be a banger…

What inspires you when you make your music?

Life does, I just go with how I’m feeling and what’s going on in my life at the moment.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

A lot of trials n tribulations a lot of ppl told me no, but I kept going.

What do you think of the music industry in 2021?

It’s different I don’t know for better or worse but different, lol.

What’s your favorite track at the moment?

Gyalis by Capella Grey.

What do you do when you are not making music?

I’m a licensed barber.

Instagram is so much easier to use lol
