Urban Vault caught up with Albany, Georgia-based emcee/producer Anthony 3 to ask him some questions about his latest release SUMMER MADNESS & more…

Anthony 3 presents the self-directed music video for ‘Summer Madness’, the new single off of his new EP ‘Connection’. The ‘Summer Madness’ video comes on the heels of the visual for his last single ‘Interdimensional‘.

The avid portrait artist/rapper had this to say, “Being that these are my influences, my style differs and it is my own. It’s far beyond its time but definitely necessary for the current climate. I have more of a Hip Hop, Soul, and experimental sound to simplify it. My song called ‘Summer Madness’ is a guide to spiritual enlightenment. For the mental battle. An inspiration that expresses that the sky’s the limit and even further”.

Performing since the age of nine, Anthony 3 has opened up for major artists such as T.I., Lil’ Scrappy, and Plies. With influences such as OutKast, Nipsey Hussle, N.E.R.D., Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, and Curtis Mayfield.

What does the 3 represent in your name?

The 3 was originally a symbol that I came up with that was silent. It has a dot at the top center and a dot at the bottom center. They are in alignment. With that being said, in my philosophy, the actual 3 represents mind, body, and spirit. The dots add on the annotation that mind, body, and spirit are in perfect alignment.

Where are you from? How has growing up there influenced your style of music?

I was born and raised in Albany, GA. I think subconsciously, I was soaking in music culture all throughout the planet. But most definitely soaking up the culture of the South, where I’m from. My ultimate passion is spirituality, which I incorporate into my music, paintings, and everyday life. It put me in a realm of supernatural creativity, with a higher calling. I produce my own beats that push the envelope, complimented by my vocals.

How have you ended up in the music industry? What are your thoughts on the industry today and the direction it’s going?

I started creating in 1998 with my older brother and cousins. Some of us just stuck with it. I think that if people would align with unconditional love instead of conditional love, then there wouldn’t be much of the hatred, fear-based energy that pulsates throughout the world. Anyone can gain power, but your intentions and what you do with it determines the frequency you produce. With that being said, many people are coming into the beginning stages of enlightenment already. In order to reach it, one must do the shadow work. Meaning healing deep, past trauma, learning unconditional love for self so that they may truly see how to love others. Practice only holding thoughts of harmony, love, trust, and peace. Once this is wholeheartedly put into effect, only then will one become open to higher frequencies. Drink mostly water and increase high-frequency foods like plants into the diet.

What can you tell us about the track ‘Summer Madness’, what was your inspiration?

Summer Madness is like a med pack for the process of ascension. When the mind and/or heart is full of fiery madness, this song and the rest of the ‘CONNECTION’ EP is like a breath of fresh air. A reminder. A guide.

What do you do when you’re not making music?

Whenever I’m not making music, I am home painting or working on business ideas. I’m never not working. I practice yoga and meditate also.

What can we expect to see/hear from you in the future as far as new projects?

You can count on me to deliver an even higher frequency of love, peace, and understanding. I’m always growing because there is always an incentive.

In a few words sum up your thoughts about Urban Vault UK and what we’re trying to do?

I think you guys are doing a good job over there! It’s quite difficult for a underground artist to get coverage out here and there are a lot of companies out here that will do you wrong. With that being said you guys come through and that’s to be appreciated 🙏🏽
