Urban Vault caught up with Malaysia-based Hip Hop artist Aidan Iman to ask him some questions about his recent album release ANGELS CAME, GOD CAME BY & more…

Previously a Hip Hop YouTube producer, Malaysia-based artist Aidan Iman is now taking the industry head-on with his solo Rap career. He’s had fun experimenting with a range of different genres and sounds, this time he’s ready to stand as one to watch in the Hip Hop community, especially the Asian Rap Scene.

What is your name and where are you from?

Hi, my name is Aidan Iman, and I’m from Malaysia!

How old are you?

I am 19 years old 🙂

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been making music since I was 12 years old!

How many songs/albums have you released to date?

So far, I’ve released 11 singles and 1 Album with 25 songs called ‘Angels Came, God Came By’.

Can you tell us about your new album ‘Angels Came, God Came By’, the background, and the inspirations behind it?

My album was inspired by Central Cee’s style of rapping, Joey Bada$$ type of lyrics, and Kirk Knight’s type of instrumentals.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

I ended up in the music industry ever since I got good grades from high school and I got confident.

What do you think of the music industry?

It’s difficult because great artists are all around.

What have you got planned for the rest of 2023?

To make another album called ‘You’re Mine, I’m Yours’.

What inspires you when you make your music?

Great beats.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?

Danile Tshazibane, Cole 40, and Ca$hFlow.

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Ayjee.

What’s your favourite track at the moment?

‘It’s Wild’.

What do you do when you’re not making music?

Work my 9-5 cashier job.

Instagram most.
