Atlanta-based recording artist Jewale Indigo recently released his latest track SUPERFLY, a flamboyant re-imagination of Curtis Mayfield’s classic

From the Hip Hop and R&B songster Jewale Indigo, who brought us the 2022 tracks ‘New Tingz‘ and ‘Hello From The Ghetto‘, is yet another salient, new single ‘Superfly‘, a striking Hip Hop version of the 1972 Curtis Mayfield track from the motion picture ‘Superfly!’ The notable Jewale Indigo’s inspiration for the track was his early life’s appreciation for Funk music, Rhythm & Blues, as well as Soul and the well-known actor Ron O’ Neal aka ‘Superfly’ who provided the original basis for what is now known among the Hip Hop culture as having ‘Drip’ or Flamboyance. Ron O’Neal rose above the daily obstacles and setbacks placed before him to supersede and rise far above the others. Jewale Indigo ingeniously likened himself to this, coming from the inner cities of Flint, Michigan aka the Midwest.

His experiences in life, as well as the music industry itself, have led him to the self-evident conclusion that, though there’s a plethora of artists dominating at the moment,

Hailing from the thriving auto hub of the Midwest and the musical origin of the Deep South, Jewale Indigo is a multifaceted musician and artist who has been enthralled by the music industry for some years. As a 4th generation artist, he was introduced to music at a very young age. His parents, having been in the music industry themselves, versed him in the indoctrination and passion of gospel music in his early years. After receiving his first guitar on his 14th birthday, Jewale Indigo gained a greater musical ear and playing style from art forms such as Country, Jazz, Blues, Hip Hop, Modern Rock & Roll, Funk, and of course Gospel straight from his proud Southern roots. Jewale Indigo’s father brought him to his first digital studio with the most decked-out gear and taught him the intricacies of studio engineering, sound recording, and producing.

Jewale Indigo also flaunts an accomplished academic career. Coming out of the inner city school system, he earned for himself a scholarship from several affluent universities. In the fall of 2022, Jewale Indigo earned an impressive Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Marketing, & Arts from the prestigious US college of Auburn University. During his senior year at A.U., he garnered an immense social media presence which led to him receiving several modeling appointments with various agencies before deciding to pursue music full-time, though he still has an Atlanta-based agent. From a performer’s perspective, Jewale Indigo is an avid showpiece – he has filmed and recorded several music promos as well as videos. The first being in 2017 with the aid of his parents and the support of his college base, which he has uploaded to his YouTube channel. Performing at various venues including a New Year’s event at the W Hotel in downtown Atlanta, Jewale Indigo is undeniably ready to flaunt his skill set to a range of new audiences.
