Fresh-faced four piece THE AGE OF L.U.N.A are the voice of the next generation and
“Live. Under. No. Authority”,
their moto. Having dropped last year’s standout mixtape aptly entitled ‘Live Under No Authority’, The Age of L.U.N.A. follow up with their seductive new offering ‘Blow Me Away’.
The collective fusion of eclectic influences and their mutual love of 90’s Hip Hop is unmistakable in the latest offering from the West London quartet. Inspiration from NWA, A Tribe Called Quest and Public Enemy, who the band supported at the end of last year, is combined with Daniella’s sultry vocal that draws obvious compassions to Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. Blow Me Away has all the nostalgia of the era’s seminal hits.
NK-OK creates grooving soundscapes with his largely instrumental production style that effortlessly carries Daniella’s soulful, honey-laced hook. Rappers Butch and Kyote interject with provocative rhymes, once again demonstrating the lyrical maturity they’re fast becoming known for.
Having previously garnered the support of BBC Radio1’s Mista Jam, DJ Semtex and Huw Stephens and a growing loyal fan base, The Age Of L.U.N.A. continue to demonstrate the ability to create diverse and timeless music beyond their years, forging musicality and consciousness back into mainstream rap music.
