The unstoppable Sticky Blood are smashing out quality records faster than a vinyl pressing plant right now. Having become the ‘go-to’ guys in the North, Sticky Blood are now infiltrating the South as artists and labels are queuing up to work with the production duo and harness some of that Sheffield magic.
‘Garn Again’ is pounding with deep bass tones, twists of a grime mind set and R&B sonics that fit impressively well together. The adventurous and explorative characteristics of the track are exactly what identifies this as a Sticky Blood production. Featuring Snowy, who was recently highlighted as one of the top MC’s outside of London by Complex and Yxngz, the pair offer opposing additions to the track. Snowy gives a nod to the grime scene forefathers and some meaty punchlines as he thunders over the beat like a juggernaut and Yxngz provides a soft, harmonious hook before slipping in to a melodic emcee offering in the final verse.
Having already released ‘Valium’, their first single of the year which followed on from their Red Bull recorded E.P ‘Blood is Stickier Than Water’ and debut E.P, ‘I.D’ in 2015; Sticky Blood continue to turn the heads of the major music tastemakers adding names such as Monki, Toddla T, Mistajam, Jamz Supernova, Complex, Clash and Red Bull to the list of supporter names they are able to cite. With a continuous stream of releases in the pipeline including some crazy collaborations, it’s already shaping up to be an exceptionally big year for Sticky Blood that will undoubtedly see the excitement about these guys continue to spread.
