Born in London and raised between the north of the city and Seattle, Taliwhoah is that rare breed of artist that has credibly retained roots and musical influences from both sides of the Atlantic. Bred into the world of music, her father was famed reggae musician Toyin Adekale and she’s the niece and godchild of Sandra Cross and Maizie Williams (Boney M).
From that kind of musical heritage you’d expect something special, and Taliwhoah emerges into her own limelight effortlessly spinning the kind of silky and gritty RnB that fits so seamlessly, it surely cements her stake as one of the most engaging emerging artists of the year.
Her previous releases ‘Melodies of Madness‘ and ‘Spirit World‘ gained her critical acclaim across Complex, The 405, Respect and SBTV – now with her first release of the year, ‘Fast FWD‘ Taliwhoah presents a teaser of her immense talent and what we can expect from her upcoming debut EP ‘New Wave Order’.
Showing a precocious talent for collaboration in bringing through rising stars Levelle London & SNE on essentially a prime RnB cut, Taliwhoah manages to effortlessly sync a mix that’s proven notoriously difficult. And Taliwhoah is just getting started, a very exciting prospect has just emerged.
