What are your names?

Robyn Sasha and Tiago AnTunes but We go by ‘Robyn & Tiago’

Where are you from?

Robyn: I’m from London
Tiago: I was born in Portugal but moved to London when I was 14.

How old are you?

A woman never reveals her age lol 😉 how old are you?

How long have you been making music?

Music has always been in our hearts from children, we had nothing but a dream with no way to achieve it but our belief.
Robyn: I absolutely hated school but the singing classes I took once a week was my escape, it was my happy place. I started out writing songs in my room as a teenager, recording demos in numerous recording studios and singing in a church in North London.
Tiago: I had a terrible stutter from a very young age and I found that music was the only way I could express myself. Sometimes things that I wanted to say but couldn’t express I would sing or rap them and since music, it has completely stopped any stutter I once had. I started writing my own songs in the school playground with friends and also found a love for music production and started teaching myself how to produce and engineer. Ever since I realized I didn’t need a million dollar studio to record I hustled any way I could to buy my own recording equipment. My garage where my studio was became the recording hot spot in Luton and that was when I met Robyn.

How many songs albums have you released to date?

In the last 7 months, we have been re-branding ourselves as Robyn & Tiago (Formerly known as RTC3)
Since then we have released our 1 st & 2nd singles ‘Bleed red’ and ‘Kiss & Tell’ on all digital platforms on 31st of August 2017. We released ‘Paisana’ on Link Up TV on 6th March 2018 followed by ‘IU’ on 30th March 2018. Our Debut Mixtape ‘Know Your Worth’ is due for release later this year.

Can you tell us about your new song/album, the background, and inspirations behind it?

The Official video for ‘Kiss & Tell’ was released on 16th April via you guys!. The single was produced by the Legendary Songwriter/Producer Steve Dorff (Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Jermaine Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton.) The video was shot in Los Angeles and we organized, Produced/Directed the video ourselves and had all our friends staring in it. ‘If you have someone Special that really rides for you don’t keep it on the low. Show her off to the world because behind every successful man is a strong woman.’

How have you ended up in the music industry?

Robyn: I didn’t come from a musical background, so none of my family understood my dream or took it seriously as it was considered (still is by most family members) Unrealistic. In the real world, you get a normal job like everyone else so I did a number of jobs I hated until I enrolled into college and trained to be a hair/make up artist as that was the next best thing and I was really good at it. I would then go on to be a makeup artist in the urban music industry.
Tiago: I started producing for numerous singers and rappers in the industry some platinum selling artists some were up and coming artists until I met Robyn and we would eventually form a business partnership owning our own recording studio and collaboration on our musical journey.

What did you think of the music industry in 2017?

The music industry is the best it’s ever been since stream and social media has opened so many doors for independent artists like ourselves. When once upon the time artists could only succeed with major label backing.

What have you got planned for 2018?

We have a mixtape called ‘Know Your Worth’ coming this year following loads of visuals including our documentary about our journey to success, our Clothing line that we are really excited about and also hit the road for our tour. Just follow us @RobynTiago on all social media platforms to keep you updated.

What inspires you when you make your music?

Tiago: Definitely life experiences combined with what we have both been through. Everything we write is authentic and from the heart.

Robyn: Songwriting is definitely our therapy; whatever we are going through once we’ve written about it it’s our release.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your Career?

You’ll find out when our mixtape is out later this year.

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Diddy, DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne and Young M.A

What’s your favorite track at the moment?

Tiago: I listened to Cardi B’s album and it’s got a few joints in there that I mess with.
Robyn: I think Amara la Negra’s new song ‘insecure’ is really dope, Hence why we even made a live cover. Check it out.

What do you do when you’re not making music?

We live and breath music, we are always working on something to do with our music. Tiago is also an amazing cook.
