Grim Sickers x Bowzer Boss – Boss Mode (Music Video/JDZmedia) Taken Off: Icons Only (Album/Audio/iTunes/Spotify)

UK based emcee  Grim Sickers recently dropped his 12-track project ICONS ONLY, featuring Bowzer Boss, Mayhem Nodb, Slickman Party and more…

A lyrical masterpiece Grim Sickers weighs in his powerful flow and impeccable bars on his 12-track delectable offering. Giving fans a sneak peek into the mixtape at the end of last month he shared the tempo tempering single ‘Boss Mode’ featuring Bowzer Boss.

Disturbing the playing field and set to cause utter destruction Grim Sickers begins ‘Icons Only’ with his high energy trap heavy singe ‘Merking’. Doing what it says on the box he kills the beat with his skippy flow and fiery delivery. Showcasing the many disciplines of rap from spraying over more trap fuelled beats to his more grime numbers such as ‘Tyson Fury 12th Round’ he provides a metamorphosis of beats adapting innately to various tempos and influences.

‘Icons Only’ isn’t shy of features and includes some of his rap contemporaries including Mayhem Nodb, Slickman Party, Kozzie and So Large who all grace the lineup of his hype and heavy tune ‘Ninjaman’. He also links up with Bonkaz and Example on the psychedelic-tinged, stripped back wavy number ‘So Real’. You can also catch Rival on his bass fuelled track ‘Chinese Whispers’ and the emotive single ‘Save Me’ featuring YASeeN RosaY.

Grim Sickers is becoming a prolific figure in the UK rap scene and he has instilled a level of notoriety in his artistry. Having confidently released a steady stream hits including ‘Open The Till’ featuring grime legend Ghetts and the one and only Mike Skinner, as well as ‘Kane’ featuring JME, and ‘Call Me in The Morning’ featuring Chip and Mike Skinner. He was also handpicked and highlighted by i-D magazine as one of their ‘music class of 2018’ and he went onto perform throughout the sold-out 2018/2019 tour for Mike Skinner and The Streets. His new project has already gained attention from i-D, London In Stereo, Red Bull, Kiss, and 1Xtra.

Delivering his first project of 2019 he sets the bar with his aptly named project ‘Icons Only’.
