Urban Vault Interviews – Bronze Nazareth

Uran Vault caught up with Detroit, Michigan-based Wu-Tang Clan affiliate emcee Bronze Nazareth to ask him some questions about his forthcoming album EKPHRASIS with Roc Marciano, & more…

The Precipice‘ is the first single from Bronze Nazareth’s forthcoming release ‘Ekphrasis’ produced entirely by Roc Marciano. The track showcases Bronze’s unique, yet classic style over the gritty and grimy beats that Roc Marciano is known for. Bronze and Roc Marciano’s styles compliment each other very well, and this first single sets the tone for the entire record.

What is your name and where are you from?

I’m Bronze Nazareth from Michigan, Detroit via Grand Rapids…

How long have you been making music?

Since 1994 or so….started very young tryna make beats. But 2003 was my production debut.

How many songs/albums have you released?

Probably 25 albums or so, extensive catalog, with different names and configurations. Some I produced fully, some I hit the mic solo.

Who have you collaborated with?

Just about everybody, if you do your homework…there’s not too many names that aren’t on my list. Full albums with Kxng Crooked, Ghostface, Canibus…Dom P…deep list. you should definitely brush up on it.

Tell us about your forthcoming album ‘Ekphrasis’ with Roc Marciano.

This is just another piece on the mantel, jewelry I rock, a handful of beats from Roc and I contribute two as well. Me and guests just devouring the production. You can always expect high-level thought-out bars from me. You can always expect Roc to create a spine-tingler. Easy formula.

What and who inspires you?

Just my experiences, I draw off real life, and all its up-downs and emotions. In turn, I put feeling into all my shit, authentic.

How have you ended up in the music industry?

I went and got it. You can find the story of how I got picked up by RZA for Wu Elements everywhere. That started me on the production leg, and then baby grande records signed me as a solo recording artist. Thus my rhyme journey began.

The industry in 2021?

In a great place…. the indie scene flourishing. This sound that I’ve stuck with since my debut is back in the forefront, there’s a lot of good music coming out. All you gotta do is look for it, tune in.

Plans for 2022?

Another solo, another Rec Ali, a handful of my black day artists letting it fly… it’s a heavy Black Day year for me and my label Black Day In July Productions.. Look it up and you’ll find some treasures.

Favorite track?

On Ekphrasis, ‘Survivor’s Vow’. It’s a kinda eerie joint where I’m literally talking to my brother’s ashes and promising him I’m a live-it-up in various ways.

What do you do when you don’t make music?

Spend time with my family! I got three beautiful kids, so we hang out do stuff. Sometimes I hit up shows and Ima big football/boxing/UFC fan.

In a few words sum up your thoughts about Urban Vault UK and what we’re trying to do?

It looks like you are on a good run, the site is clean, and seems like you’re working on pulling a lot of different angles together.

Thank you for your time and may you carry on making dope, fresh music…
