After last years J DILLA CHANGED MY LIFE event sold out weeks in advance and became one of the most in-demand tickets around The Doctor’s Orders are once again stepping things up another notch!
The UK’s only official J Dilla tribute that is sanctioned by his family, the James Yancey Foundation and the J Dilla estate returns to The Scala for what is sure to be another exceptional night in tribute to the greatest Hip-Hop and RnB producer of all time.
Having previously been blessed by live performances by the likes of Slum Village, Illa J, Phat Kat and De La Soul’s DJ Maseo to name a few, for this year’s event we welcome the incredible Abstract Orchestra who takes on J Dilla’s work cannot fail but to leave you with goosebumps and is guaranteed to raise the roof.
As ever a crew of DJs wanting to pay their respects and willing to give up their time and talents for free blesses the stage. The man behind The Doctor’s Orders and these years of Dilla tributes Spin Doctor is joined by friends Kidkanevil, DJ LoK, and The Doctor’s Orders residents Russ Ryan & Mo Fingaz.

With an incredible line of production credits for De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, The Pharcyde, Janet Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Common, D’Angelo, his own crew Slum Village and so many more it is little wonder that he has been described as a visionary, a genius & the quintessential producers’ producer by many of the most respected names in the game.
